We celebrate our dedicated Pastoral Care team who have helped our patients connect with family and friends throughout the pandemic when in-person visits were not possible. This wonderful team used video chats, telephone calls and visits through the windows in our ‘Tunnel of Hope’ to ensure our patients felt compassion and love during such difficult times.
When Maryze, the granddaughter of patient Rosemary, wanted to share a special song she wrote about being far away for her Nana Rosie, Sister Louise made arrangements to share the song with Rosemary and over the loudspeakers for everyone to hear. This special moment meant so much to her family and everyone at HDS knowing we were all in this together.
