Did you know that the 2025 Rankin Cancer Run raised $40,000 for the Rankin Family Cancer Rehab Program at HDS, which included a generous donation of $11,461 from June MacKinnon! Niagara’s Rankin Cancer Run has been a generous supporter of Hotel Dieu Shaver for many years. Our sincerest thanks go to the event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and participants—your dedication continues to provide vital cancer care programs in our community.

A new chapter of Strength. ‘AWESOME’ in capital letters is how Alice describes her time at Hotel Dieu Shaver. “Everything up until this point had been decided for me (diagnosis’s, surgery details etc.)”, Alice shares. “But joining the Rankin Family Cancer Rehab Program was the first positive choice I made for my own recovery”.
HDS Foundation is wild with excitement to announce a special partnership between Hotel Dieu Shaver and Safari Niagara! When you purchase tickets - all summer long, $10 from each adult ticket and $8 from each child/senior ticket will come roaring back to support the programs and patients at Hotel Dieu Shaver.
A Berry Sweet Celebration! This past Wednesday, Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation hosted a Strawberry Social in the Mountainview Courtyard. The event celebrated our generous supporters and allowed guests to explore interactive stations learning about specialized tools like the Neubie, Sara Stedy, AAC devices, BITS, and more, seeing firsthand how their support transforms care at HDS.
