The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 138 Merritton presented a $5,195 donation to Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command and Ladies’ Auxiliary.
The donation will be directed to the purchase of a patient bed for the inpatient unit at Hotel Dieu Shaver. We are grateful for the continued support of Legions across Niagara Region and Ontario Command.
The Ontario Command of The Royal Canadian Legion is comprised of almost four hundred (400) branches throughout Ontario. With a total membership of almost 100,000 the Ontario Command of the Legion is the largest service oriented organization in Ontario.
Although the main focuses continue to be remembering those who gave their lives for freedom, and looking after the needs of veterans, their dependents, and those still serving in the Canadian Forces; Legions throughout Ontario Command are also contributing to the well-being of communities. This includes supporting much-needed medical equipment and programs across the province.
