She is a Financial Planning Consultant for CIBC Financial Planning and is a life-long resident of Niagara, having graduated from Brock University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA) with a focus on accounting and finance. She is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA), and among other designations, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). Aurora began her career with the accounting firm of KPMG, Hamilton Office in the Audit Division followed by the role of Manager of Financial Advisory Services. Aurora changed her focus to the financial sector when she accepted a position with CIBC Financial Planning in Niagara as a Financial Planning Consultant, providing customized wealth management solutions, trust and estate services and business succession planning to Niagara families and businesses.

Aurora was elected as a City Councillor with the City of Thorold from 1994 to 1997 and elected and appointed Deputy Mayor from 1997 to 2000. Through her position with the City of Thorold, Aurora sat on various local boards and committees. She has been actively involved in her community through volunteer work with various CIBC dedicated charities as well as Niagara organizations, including the Niagara College Foundation Board and the Board of Trustees at Brock University.
