Jeff Reuter

Jeff grew up in Welland and Pelham and Hamilton where he attended McMaster University while obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce degree.  Jeff is a Registered Insurance Broker holding his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker and Canadian Professional Insurance Broker designations.

 Previously, Jeff owned and operated Reuter & Reilly Insurance Brokers in the City of Welland for 30 years, employing 10 people.  He has extensive experience in advising individuals and organizations on risk management and asset/financial protection.  Through his professional work, he brings a strong understanding of fiduciary responsibility, governance and regulatory oversight.  His business roles and experience include managing employees, strategic planning, customer relations, insurer relations, financial management and overall consensus building.

Jeff has been actively involved in community and professional organizations, contributing strategic insight and a collaborative approach to leadership to organizations such as the Welland Pelham Chamber of Commerce, Venture Niagara Community Futures Corporation, the North Welland Business Improvement Area, Welland Economic Development Corporation, Niagara College Program Advisory Council and various insurance industry groups.

Jeff views Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital as a unique hospital within the Niagara Region and is pleased to be able to contribute to its on-going success and progress within the community.  “The hospital has such a positive outcome in so many peoples’ lives” he says.
