What an exciting few months we’ve had at Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation, we are truly blessed.
On May 30, the Hotel Dieu Shaver family gathered together for a special dedication in honour of a beloved colleague and celebration of a transformational gift made to HDS Foundation. Team members and friends of HDS were surprised and delighted to learn that the inpatient building has been renamed “The Dr. John T. Luce Inpatient Building.” This new name honours the late Dr. John (Jack) Luce, a man who dedicated himself and his life to caring for others. Learn more HERE
Our team has been working on an exciting new event, and we are thrilled to tell you all about it! Hope in Motion is a mobility inclusive event where YOU set the challenge! We’re bringing together our HDS family of healthcare staff, patients, program graduates and loved ones, along with our caring community to raise funds for patient equipment needs at Hotel Dieu Shaver - Niagara's only rehabilitation and complex care hospital. In this edition of @HDS Foundation NEWS you will also see many examples of how our community continues to step up for HDS. Whether you supported HDS Foundation by volunteering to decorate cookies (or purchased a few to enjoy), sponsored Team Hotel Dieu Shaver in the Rankin Cancer Run (or walked alongside us), or made a generous donation in support of patient-care needs, we thank you.
