We honour the dedicated Hotel Dieu Shaver volunteers, like Wilma!
Our volunteers have always been on the front lines, connecting with patients and helping to fundraise for the hospital before COVID-19 hit and now they wait patiently at home until they can return to HDS.
Wearing many volunteer hats at HDS, Wilma enjoys her role as a member of the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC). She speaks to patient struggling with their rehabilitation journey bringing them hope as she shares her experience as a past patient.
During COVID-19, WIlma has been reaching out to her fellow volunteers to check in and keep their spirits up, but she is looking forward to the day when she can come back to Hotel Dieu Shaver and resume her visits with patients.
