Dr. McMillan is thrilled to be joining the Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation Board of Directors.
St. Catharines has been his home since coming to work as a medical doctor in 1999. He worked as a Physiatrist (Medical Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine) in Niagara for almost 24 years working with various patient populations including stroke, amputation, spinal cord injury, head injury and pain.
At HDS, he served as the Chief of Rehabilitation Medicine, worked with both inpatient and outpatients, as well as ran his private office. He retired from medicine in December of 2022.
Dr. McMillan wanted to give back to HDS and to the previous patients and families that he helped over the years by thanking them for all their kindness and support, and he felt serving on the Foundation Board was a good place to begin this journey.
